1. What types of therapy do you offer?
•We offer individual therapy and family therapy. Our focus areas include life transitions, relationship strengthening, and communication skills improvement.
2. Who do you typically work with?
•We specialize in working with individuals aged 18-35 who are navigating life transitions, managing relationship challenges, and seeking to improve their communication skills. We also have a passion for helping families who may be experiencing struggles around "failure to launch" (into adulthood), and communication issues.
3. What can I expect in my first session?
•The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your background, current concerns, and goals for therapy. This helps us create a personalized treatment plan for you.
4. How long does each therapy session last?
•Each session typically lasts 45- 50 minutes. We also offer longer sessions if needed, based on your individual requirements.
5. Do you offer virtual therapy sessions?
•Yes, we offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions to accommodate your needs and preferences.
6. How often should I attend therapy sessions?
•The frequency of sessions varies based on your individual needs and goals. Typically, clients start with weekly sessions, which may decrease in frequency over time as progress is made.
7. How much does therapy cost, and do you accept insurance?
•Our session rates are $175 for individual sessions and $200 for 45-50 minute family or couples sessions. We do not accept insurance plans but we are able to offer super bills for you to submit to your insurance for out of network benefits. Please contact your insurance company to verify your specific out-of-network benefits. We do partner with Mentaya, an out of network benefits submission company. If you are interested in more information, please let your therapist know. We also offer sliding scale fees for those in need.
8. What issues do you help clients with?
•We help clients with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, life transitions, communication problems, and self-esteem issues.
9. How do I schedule an appointment?

10. What should I do if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
•If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. You can contact us by phone or email to make changes to your appointment.
11. What is your approach to therapy?
•Our approach is client-centered and integrative, drawing from various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Choice Theory and mindfulness practices to best meet your individual needs.
12. How can therapy help me?
Therapy can provide you with tools and strategies to manage and overcome challenges, improve your relationships, enhance your communication skills, and support your mental health and overall well-being.
13. Is therapy confidential?
• Yes, therapy is confidential. Information shared in sessions is protected by privacy laws, and we only disclose information with your consent or if required by law (e.g., in cases of imminent harm or abuse).
14. What should I bring to my first session?
• You don’t need to bring anything specific to your first session, but it may be helpful to have a list of any medications you are taking and any previous mental health treatment records.
15. How do I know if I need therapy?
• If you are experiencing persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, stress, or if you are struggling with relationships or life changes, therapy can be a valuable resource to help you navigate these challenges.
16. Can I choose my therapist?
• Yes, you can choose your therapist based on your preferences and needs. We will provide information about our therapists’ specialties to help you make an informed decision.
17. What is the difference between therapy and counseling?
• The terms “therapy” and “counseling” are often used interchangeably. Both involve working with a mental health professional to address emotional and psychological issues. The approach may vary slightly based on the professional’s training and the specific needs of the client.
18. Do you offer group therapy sessions?
• Yes, we periodically offer group therapy sessions that focus on specific topics such as anxiety management, relationship skills, and personal growth. 19. How long will I need to be in therapy?
• The duration of therapy varies for each individual. Some people may find relief in a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy. We will work together to determine the best timeline for your needs.
20. What if I don’t feel comfortable with my therapist?
• It’s important to feel comfortable with your therapist. If you don’t feel like the therapist is a good fit for you, please let us know, and we can help you find another therapist who may be a better match for your needs.
